Our Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 20th April 2025 (Updated 23rd June 2025)

ObjectNow is committed to protecting the privacy, rights, and freedoms of all users in accordance with the data protection principles established under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and where applicable, the EU GDPR. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how and why we collect it, and how it is securely processed, stored, and removed.

1. Data Collection and Purpose

When you use ObjectNow to generate and submit an objection letter, we collect essential data to deliver your objection, support submission confirmation, and meet legal obligations. This includes:

  • Full Name: Stored in hashed form for internal reference only.
  • Email Address: Stored in hashed form for confirmation lookup.
  • Postcode: Used for geographic analysis by campaign groups.
  • Campaign ID: Ensures submission data applies only to the relevant campaign.
  • Submission Timestamp: Indicates when your objection was submitted.
  • Verification Hash: Secure token used to validate submission records.

ObjectNow cannot reverse or decrypt any hashed data. No raw personal identifiers are stored or accessible after submission.

2. Submission Confirmation Feature

All objection systems created after 23rd June 2025 include a built-in submission confirmation feature. Supporters may confirm their objection was received by entering their email address. The system matches submissions using secure hashing and never reveals raw names, or addresses.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Raw personal details (e.g., name, address, email) are automatically deleted after submission. Hashed data and metadata required for verification are retained for transparency and auditing. IP address and browser data may be temporarily stored for security purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process data under the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate Interest: To process and verify objections.
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws.
  • Consent: By using ObjectNow, you consent to this policy.

5. Data Security and Protection

  • End-to-end encryption (HTTPS)
  • Automatic deletion of raw personal data
  • Use of secure, irreversible hashing
  • Restricted access to campaign systems
  • No third-party analytics, tracking, or cookies

6. Cookies and Tracking

7. Your Rights

  • Access: You may confirm your submission was submitted and accounted using our confirmation page.
  • Erasure: All identifiable data is deleted automatically; no further request is typically needed.
